You’ve been saying ください since Day 4 — みずをください. Now you can build it from any verb: English softens a command with “please” out front; Japanese takes the te-form and adds ください. 待って → 待ってください (please wait), 見て → 見てください (please look). Your first payoff for learning the te-form — and there are many more coming.
